Bestofweddingphotography.com

I’m really pleased to announce that Capturing the Light Photography has been chosen to be a member of Bestofweddingphotography.com.

This is an invitation only listing of wedding photographers with all members being chosen by a prestigious board of photographers including Ben Chrisman, Anna Kuperburg and David Beckstead amongst others.  Only 350 invitations were sent out worldwide, so I’m in extremely good company and a little humbled.

Here’s a link to my listing.

Fast Eddie

On February 9, 2010 at 9:16 p.m. Jack and Emma became cousins to Edward James Lindemann.

Here they are welcoming Eddie to the world!

19th Place | ISPWP Winter Contest

I just got word that one of my images came in 19th at the ISPWP Winter Photo Contest.

19th might not sound great, but considering the amazing competition from around the world (literally.  Who knew Brazil and Russia had so many great photographers?) I’m really happy to have placed.

Tri-City Wedding Vendors

After a long break, some of the local wedding vendors got together again for another networking get together.

Instead of another bar or restaurant, Jasmyn from Olympic Sound graciously offered her house which allowed everyone to mingle and avoid a sore butt.

I thought I’d be ‘that guy’ and bring my camera and grab some pics.

Our host Jasmyn.

Colleen + Jason | Kitchener Wedding Photography

Had a great time at Colleen & Jason’s New Years Eve wedding at the Delta Kitchener.

And it sounds like they had a great time on their honeymoon safari in Africa.

Commercial Photography | Kitchener-Waterloo

I had the opportunity to do some portraits for a commercial client recently, something I don’t get to do enough of.

The first shot was actually done in a -20 Fahrenheit (not Celsius!!!!!) blast freezer… a little cold to say the least. I couldn’t even tell if my finger was on the shutter button by the end of it.
